Hi, I’m Rebekah. I’m a therapist, mindfulness teacher, and parent coach. I’ve been in the field for over eighteen years. My style is relationship-oriented, which means you will feel my warmth and respect, as well as my commitment to telling the truth. I incorporate accessible, practical skills in each session that will serve you once you leave my office. I believe that we are all capable of healing, once we learn to become more skillful.
I attended Columbia University’s School of Social Work, with a focus on clinical work with children and families. After that, I moved to Utah where I was a licensed clinical social worker, and began working in residential treatment with teen girls. During that time I became specialized in treating developmental trauma, which often included intensive family work. I lead regular parenting workshops and love parent coaching.
I’m a 500-hour ERYT certified yoga teacher, and lead Yoga for Trauma Recovery workshops. I’ve been trained in the trauma resiliency model, and have studied under world renowned mindfulness and meditation teachers.
When I’m not guiding therapy or teaching, I’m writing. I co-authored a self-help book for young women, The Wanderlust Warrior Project. I’ve written curriculum for various teen and young adult programs and have published articles in Elephant Journal and Breathe Together Online.
I’ve experienced my own powerful healing process and respect my clients and students for taking the sometimes-difficult steps toward recovery and empowerment.
It’s my privilege to do this work. Thank you for inviting me to walk alongside you.
